K2 space’s article, the colour of office design explores the Psychological impact of colour within a workplace. The article Considers colour to have a major impact on employees, productivity, well being and Mood within workspace
Although K2 space believe colour can affect people psychologically they believe people are wired differently and colours can be preserved in different ways effecting people in a variety of ways. They see colour within office design as very complicated because not only can each colour come in a variety of shades, which can have different impacts on an employee’s mood but what colours are used together, the Lighting texture and furniture within the interior all matter and have to been used in the corrects way to crate the right balance.
Personally, as of yet I am not 100 percent convinced that colour could affect people’s moods. Although I do believe dull colours can have a negative impact on one’s mood. I am still not persuaded as of yet that bright colour's such as yellow and green can affect a specific part of someone brain to make them think a certain way for example more creatively. Overall, I believe employees should be in a bright and airy environment with pops of any colour because of “the fact that people spend about 70-80% of their time indoors, almost 9 hours of their day are being spent at work.” (Dima Stouhi, arch daily.
